Go to the wildest and most magnificent lookouts and you’ll find lighthouses. Like the ones at Cape Race, Fort Amherst, and Cape Spear – all built in the early nineteenth century as beacons for brave fishermen and mariners – that still operate today and are a testament to our challenging life by the sea.
